OUR PROCESS

CLEANING removes oil and debris from concrete surfaces and is followed by the use of a concrete grinder to open concrete pores, allowing a roughened surface, and therefore a larger surface area, for epoxy to adhere to.

BASE COAT APPLICATION provides a foundational layer that smooths cracks and crevices while creating a seal against the conrete below so following, decorative layers maintain aesthetic quality. Here, pigmented epoxy is mixed, and a roller is used to apply a thorough, even coat.

COLOR COATS are applied in a variety of ways depending on application and type. Flakes (vinyl) are added directly to wet base epoxy and left to dry for 24 hours, where metallic coats are added after base epoxy is dry by first adding solid epoxy with metallic pigment evenly across the floor using a squeegee or roller.

FINAL TOUCHES BEFORE DRYING are added to metallic coats by spraying pigmented epoxy with isopropyl alcohol to break surface tension and add swirled or bubbled effects. Final touches to flaked flooring entail sweeping away excess flakes and sanding the flaked surface to create smoothness before coating for the final time.

TOP COAT APPLICATION allows for a clear, UV-stable top coat to protect the aesthetic work created by flaked or metallic coats and provide a glossy finish to flooring that is durable and provides lasting results
